Building trust infrastructure for a world that's tired of fake.

I'm Ruben Dos Santos. Portuguese by birth, Swiss by formation, entrepreneur by necessity. I build technology that helps people, brands and institutions prove what's real — so the internet can stop being a place where anyone can claim anything without consequence.

About

From Portugal, through Switzerland, back to Portugal.

I was born in Portugal and lived there until I was 11. Then my family moved to Switzerland, where I grew up, studied computer technology, and built a career in IT that eventually led me to become CIO of a major Swiss industrial company before the age of 30.

I spent close to thirty years in Switzerland. It shaped how I think — the precision, the discretion, the long view, the deep respect for institutions that actually work. Most of the ideas I'm building today were thought through during those years.

A few years ago I was personally scammed by a well-known e-commerce platform. They had been scammed too — by one of their own resellers. The product was fake, no one was accountable, and there was no way for anyone to verify what was real. That was the moment I understood the problem. It isn't counterfeits. It's the absence of verifiable accountability between the people who make things, the people who sell them, and the people who buy them.

I came back to Portugal to build the answer. Lower cost of living, sovereign control of my time, and the freedom to work on what I believe needs to exist — instead of executing someone else's roadmap.

Mission

Make trust verifiable. Make accountability unavoidable.

I believe everyone should start from the same line. Same chances, same access to information, same protection from people who would lie to them. The internet was supposed to give us that. Instead it gave us a place where anyone can claim anything, fake anyone, sell anything, with almost no consequence.

I want to help change that. Not by adding more rules, more friction, more middlemen — but by building the infrastructure that lets honest people, honest brands, and honest institutions prove who they are and stand behind what they do. Verifiable. Transparent. Permanent.

I work in open standards because I believe no single company should own your data, your identity, or your business. You should be able to leave any system and join another without losing what you've built. That's not idealism. That's the foundation of a fair digital economy.

Work

I run a small portfolio of projects, all aimed at the same goal: making the digital world more honest, more transparent, and more useful to the people who actually live and work in it. Some are public, some are still being built, some I keep quiet about until they're ready.
